HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB), a specialist engineering and construction insurer and subsidiary of reinsurance giant Munich Re, has announced the appointment of Alan Moore as Construction Product Lead.
Based in the company’s Birmingham, UK office, Moore will report to HSB Underwriting Manager Andrew Bazley. In his new role Moore will be tasked with managing the firm’s construction portfolio product line, and responsible for providing expertise and leadership. This includes product strategy and planning, monitoring product growth, and monthly portfolio reporting.
“Alan’s proven track record, along with his vast experience in senior underwriting positions, makes him the ideal candidate to drive our construction portfolio forward. Alan will play a key role in implementing both long and short term strategies to ensure the continued profitable growth of HSB’s construction business,” commented Bazley.
Moore has 28 years of experience in portfolio management, property, construction and liability insurance, and will join HSB from NIG Commercial, where he was Assistant Underwriting Manager. He has also held positions at CNA Insurance Group, Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, General Accident/CGNU, and Allianz.
