Ambac Financial Group, a financial services holding company, has appointed Naveen Anand as President of Cirrata Group, Ambac’s insurance distribution division.
Anand, a seasoned executive in the property and casualty insurance market, brings a wealth of expertise and industry relationships to his new role, the company said.
Reporting directly to Claude LeBlanc, President and CEO of Ambac, Anand’s primary responsibilities will involve expanding Cirrata Group and enhancing its presence in the specialty insurance sector.
“Naveen is a seasoned P&C executive with extensive specialty lines expertise and strong industry relationships, making him an ideal choice for President of Cirrata. We are excited to welcome him to the team,” LeBlanc commented.
Anand, based in New York, has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Ambac, he served as the Group President at Players Health for two years, during which time he was also a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Anand’s previous positions include six years as President and CEO of Hallmark Financial Services and four years as Torus Insurance’s CEO of Americas and Global Chief Operating Officer. He also spent seven years at CNA, where he held roles of increasing responsibility.
In his final three years at CNA, Anand served as the President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Commercial Lines, overseeing $3.3 billion of commercial lines business across various segments.
Anand began his insurance career at Chubb, where he held various commercial underwriting roles, including Vice President of Commercial Lines for the New York region.
