The Navigators Group has named James Rhyner, joining from an executive role with Chubb, as new President of the firm’s U.S. underwriting operation – the Navigators Pro division of Navigators Management Company.
As Navigators’ continues to grow its U.S. management and professional liability product lines, Rhyner will head up its U.S. directors and officers (D&O) and errors and omissions (E&O) businesses, based in Iselin, New Jersey.

Rhyner joins the specialty insurer from Chubb, where he served as Senior Vice President of Professional Liability; he brings 30 years experience in both insurance brokerage and underwriting.
Before working for Chubb he was a partner in Avreco, a professional liability wholesale broker and managing general agent (MGA).
