Neon Underwriting has appointed Jeremy Cooke as contingency underwriter, taking responsibility for building the firm’s name in the event cancellation market.
Neon explains that as it continues to develop a refreshed proposition and portfolio offering, the arrival of Cooke shows continued progress and will help the firm grow in a market previously written on an opportunistic basis.
Prior to Neon, Cooke was Head of Contingency at Barents Re, and has also held underwriting positions at ProSight Specialty Insurance and Chubb, and began his career at Hiscox.
Neon’s Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), Darren Lednor, said: “We have made strong progress in consolidating our existing portfolio and this has given us an excellent platform from which to expand into new lines.
