The Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) has announced the appointment of four new directors and a new chair.
The representative organisation for Australian and New Zealand underwriting agencies says retiring directors Kurt Nilsen, from Lion Underwriting, and Eric Lowenstein, from Tego, were re-elected for two-year terms.
Jeanene Hill, from Canopius, and Anthony Porter, from AFA, will join them as new directors.
In a board meeting after the AGM, Kurt Nilsen was elected chair; Axis’ Emily Walker, deputy chair; Allstate’s Trent Brown, treasurer; and Millennium’s Heath Amber as company secretary and public officer.
Outgoing chair Lyndon Turner, from NM Insurance, and fellow former board member Peter Fryer had elected not to re-contest their board positions.
Current board members Heath Amber, Simon Lightbody (Steadfast Underwriting Agencies), Emily Walker and Trent Brown were not required to stand for re-election.
