Newline Europe, the German arm of Newline Group, has appointed Nina Weitemeier to the Management Board.
Based in Cologne, Germany, Weitemeier has become Head of Claims, Legal, Compliance and Regulatory, effective January 1, 2023.
Prior to joining Newline close to five years ago, Weitemeier held various management positions at RheinLand Versicherungs AG, where she worked for 13 years.
Commenting on Weitemeier’s appointment Manuel Wirtz, CEO of Newline Europe, said: “I am very pleased that we were able to fill this position on the Management Board from within our own ranks.
“Nina Weitemeier joined Newline Europe in 2018 as a proven expert in the areas of claims, law and compliance and will use her experience to further strengthen the Management Board.”
In June last year, Newline announced the appointment of Andrew Pecover as its new Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
He took over the role from William Beveridge, who left Newline to become the CUO of UK P&I Club.
In his new role, Pecover is responsible for the underwriting operations for Newline Syndicate 1218 and Newline Insurance Company Limited across all lines of business.
