Nexus Re in the US has announced the promotion of Chris Holland to President of Accident & Health Reinsurance.
A 30-year industry veteran, Holland will take over the role from Kieron Farrelly, who has recently retired.
Holland has worked at Nexus Re since 2012, most recently as Vice President and Senior Underwriter for Accident Reinsurance, based in the New York and New Jersey area.
Prior to this, he spent more than seven years at Presidio Reinsurance Group, culminating in a position as Vice President and Managing Underwriter for Accident Reinsurance.
Holland began his insurance career in 1992 at Duncanson & Holt and also held roles at LDG Re before joining Presidio.
In his new role, he will report to Adam Kembrooke, Nexus US CEO.
“Chris is an experienced leader who has successfully contributed to the growth of the business, and is well placed to continue his success in this new role as the leader of Nexus’ A&H reinsurance division in the US,” Nexus Re stated.
