Property and casualty insurer, Great American Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Nicholas T. Moraites as Divisional Assistant Vice President of Claims.
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Moraites joins the insurer’s Fidelity/Crime Division from Travelers, a large commercial and personal property and casualty insurer, where he most recently served as Senior Claim Counsel.
Prior to that, he was Vice President, Litigation & Contracts at PLS Logistics Services, a position he held after serving over nine years at Eckert Seamans, in the Litigation Division.
Before working in the insurance industry, he was a litigator for several prominent law firms. He brings more than 17 years of legal experience to his new role at Great American.
Moraites earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He also earned a Juris Doctor (JD), magna cum laude, and a Master of Laws in Law & Economics from George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School, in Arlington, Virginia.
