Bermuda-based re/insurer Aspen, has appointed Nick Acker as Head of US Distribution, a Chicago-based role.
In his new role he will be responsible for developing Aspen’s relationships with broking partners within the US. He will report to Jonny Atkinson, Group Chief Business Development Officer.
The re/insurer has praised Acker’s extensive experience of driving growth through the leading US wholesale brokers across a variety of product lines.
Prior to joining Aspen he spent a decade with Arch Insurance Group. During his time, he served in various senior distribution roles, most recently as Vice President, Wholesale and Distribution Management.
Prior to Arch, Acker spent time at both ACE Group as Business Development Manager IL and IN, and at The Hartford as Senior Commercial Sales Rep.
Commenting on Acker’s appointment, Atkinson said: “Nick’s comprehensive understanding of the US market and strong broker relationships makes him an excellent addition to the Aspen team.
“We look forward to further building on our deep relationships with our key strategic distribution partners and continuing to support them and their clients.”
