Algorithmic Insurance Services, Inc., trading as LIRG, a specialist re/insurance platform focused on building, incubating and scaling managing general underwriters (MGUs) and managing general agents (MGAs) has appointed Nick Lamparelli as its new Chief Programme Officer.
In this capacity, Lamparelli will lead the development and expansion of both LIRG-sponsored and third-party programmes. He will oversee the design, structuring and launch of specialty underwriting platforms across parametric and traditional risk classes, working closely with capital partners, distribution networks and global reinsurance relationships to deliver differentiated solutions.
Lamparelli is widely recognised within the re/insurance sector for his work in underwriting innovation, programme strategy and alternative risk transfer.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior and advisory roles with organisations including AIR Worldwide, QBE, reThought Flood and Green Shield Risk Solutions. Most recently, he served as Managing Partner of Insurance Nerds, advising MGAs and other insurance ventures on market entry, programme formation and growth strategy.
In addition to his commercial activities, Lamparelli was also the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Insurance Advocacy Forum of Florida. He also serves as a board member of Steadily Insurance Company.
At LIRG, Lamparelli is expected to focus on identifying promising underwriting concepts and accelerating their route to market by aligning technology infrastructure, underwriting capacity and strategic oversight. A central objective will be to reduce the traditional time and cost required to establish new underwriting platforms, while maintaining governance and execution standards.
