Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Nick Wood as Regional Head of Property for AGCS Asia Pacific.
Wood has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, most of which has been spent underwriting and managing property teams in Asia Pacific, AGCS noted.
In 2019 he joined AGCS as Regional Property Specialist. After almost two years, he became Head of Property, Pacific, while also holding the position of Deputy Head of Property, Asia Pacific.
Prior to AGCS he spent close to three years at AIG as Head of Property & Special Risks, Greater China & Australasia, and over six years at Chartis as Regional Property Manager, Australasia after spending over four years as Property Manager Australasia with AIG Australia.
AGCS took to LinkedIn to share the news of Wood’s appointment, it said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Wood as Regional Head of Property for AGCS Asia Pacific! Nick has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, most of which has been spent underwriting and managing property teams in Asia Pacific.”
Wood is one of Allianz most recent appointments, it follows Mark Whayling’s as new Entertainment Global Product Lead for the Live sector in October, John Gambale as regional head of distribution for North America and Darren Tasker as new regional head of energy and construction for North America, both appointed in September.
