OAK Global appoints Kaylee Darkins as Chief People & Communications Officer

OAK Global, a risk partner underwriting through Lloyd’s Syndicates 2843 and 1440, has announced the appointment of Kaylee Darkins as Chief People and Communications Officer, effective 9th March 2026.

OAK Global logoIn her new role, Darkins will lead OAK Global’s people strategy, communications, and sustainability agenda. She will be based in London and report directly to Cathal Carr, Founder and CEO of OAK Global.

Darkins brings 18 years of experience in Human Resources (HR), with expertise in leading people strategy and culture transformation across multiple sectors and large global organisations.

She joins OAK Global from AXA XL, where she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for its UK operations and HR Business Partner for the global Chief Client Office.

Earlier in her career, Darkins served as a HR Advisor at Ashtons Legal, Schools’ Choice, and Lowestoft College.

In September 2025, OAK Re announced the rebranding of its group identity to OAK Global and unveiled OAK Enterprise, the home of Syndicate 1440, which was approved by Lloyd’s to commence underwriting retrocession business at 1.1 2026.

In addition, during Fidelis Insurance Group’s recent Q4’25 earnings call, the company confirmed it had initiated a portfolio-wide partnership with OAK Global at the January 1st, 2026, renewals.
