Following a successful underwriting launch at January 1, 2025, global reinsurance company Oak Re has made a number of new appointments as it strengthens its team.
The most recent appointments include Tom Dickson as President, Innovation Strategies, who is joining the company from New Energy Risk, where he was CEO. His appointment is subject to UK visa approval.
Joining from Guy Carpenter, Roland Morse was named Managing Director, London and Karen Barker Credit Underwriter. In her new role, she will serve as underwriting leader for credit classes at OAK Re.
Barker most recently worked at Axis Capital, where she spent seven years and served as a Senior Underwriter.
Deepon Sen Gupta is also joining the company and has been appointed Head of Capital Partnerships. His previous roles include Group Chief Strategy Officer at Neon and founding board member for Beat Capital.
With the new hires, the reinsurer now has close to 40 staff members and plans to increase this number throughout 2025.
