Bermudian firm Oceanview Reinsurance has announced the appointment of Ahwaz Chagani as Vice President and Chief Actuary.
Chagani will be based in Bermuda and lead Oceanview Re’s actuarial organisation and all aspects of its risk management function.
He brings over 15 years’ actuary experience to Oceanview Re and most recently served as the Head of Actuarial and Risk and Approved Actuary for the Argus Group.
At Argus, Chagani is said to have been instrumental in the design and rollout of the group’s new risk management framework.
Prior to joining the Argus Group, he was Head of Corporate Actuarial and Approved Actuary for AIA Reinsurance.
Previously, Chagani served as a consulting actuary with the Dion Strategic Consulting Group and held various actuarial roles at Manulife Financial.
