Odyssey Reinsurance Company (OdysseyRe), the property and casualty reinsurance arm of Odyssey Group Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, has appointed Philip Klecan as its Chief Agent in Canada, effective March 27th, 2026.
In his new role, Klecan will be based in Toronto and serve as the branch’s senior representative, directing broker and client engagement across the Canadian market.
He succeeds Jean-Raymond Kingsley, who is retiring after 15 years with OdysseyRe, and reports to Joseph Guardo, Executive Vice President.
Klecan has over two decades of industry experience, having joined OdysseyRe in 2024 as Chief Underwriting Officer of Canadian operations, most recently leading Hanover Re’s property and casualty treaty portfolio.
