Specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, Miller Insurance Services LLP, has announced that facultative reinsurance broker and producer, Andrew Green has re-joined the firm.
An offshore wind renewable energy specialist, Green will produce and place facultative reinsurance for the construction and operation of offshore wind farms, with an initial focus on Europe, Asia, and the U.S.
He has previously worked for Newman Martin & Buchan before joining Miller in 2011 as a broker. He left Miller in 2014 and joined re/insurance broker Aon in January 2015. After almost four years with Aon and its reinsurance division, Green has re-joined Miller as an offshore wind renewable energy specialist.
In his new role, he will be working with Neil Higgins, Head of Property, Simon Neale, Energy facultative reinsurance and Ian Blick, leader of the Facultative Energy team.
Higgins commented: “With the exponential growth in the offshore wind sector, our clients require their broker to navigate the market and secure innovative reinsurance solutions. I’m delighted that our existing and prospective clients will benefit from Andrew’s industry knowledge and experience.”
Miller states that advancements in offshore wind tech and growing turbine output, combined with geographical expansion into territories with large catastrophe capacity needs, has resulted in insurers’ increasingly seeking cost-effective facultative reinsurance solutions.
