Oliver Wyman, a management consulting firm and part of Marsh, has appointed Helen Leis to the newly created role of Global Head of Leadership and Change, to guide clients through uncertainty and complex transformations.
Leis steps into the new role in addition to continuing as Co-Head of M&A Americas.
She will now work across practices, assessing where leadership and change challenges are likely to arise and helping clients develop strategies and tools.
The firm explains that, currently, organisations are navigating a period of rapid and often unpredictable change, including new technologies, shifting economic conditions, and evolving workforce expectations.
Against this background, the firm believes that leaders must be able to adapt quickly, align their organisations around new priorities, and translate strategy into sustained action.
The firm’s Leadership and Change work aims to help organisations build the operating models and leadership skills needed to navigate complexity and turn disruption into opportunity.
Leis has over three decades of experience advising organisations on complex transformation, integration, and change programs across industries.
Nick Studer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Oliver Wyman, commented, “This role is key to advancing the firm’s long-term efforts to embed transformative leadership and change management capabilities across all our work, driving greater alignment, collaboration and impact.
“Helen brings an outstanding combination of expertise, leadership, and empathy to help clients overcome some of the toughest challenges in business.”
Leis added, “I’ve spent three decades working with leaders navigating mergers, crises, and cultural overhauls. Every transformation tests the limits of an organisation – but it also tests the limits of its leadership.
“The leaders who succeed aren’t those who avoid that tension, but those who use it to help their organisations grow. When that happens, change stops being disruptive and starts becoming a source of strength.”
