Oxbow Partners, a consulting firm known for its work in insurance and financial services, is celebrating a decade in business with a significant expansion into the United States through the launch of a New York office.

Although the firm has long served clients across the UK, Europe, Bermuda, and the US, this move reinforces its commitment to providing local, hands-on support for carriers, reinsurers, MGAs, and investors.

The firm continues to apply its Agile Strategy methodology, which blends detailed market understanding with a practical, end-to-end approach to strategy development, operating model design, and technology transformation.

Operating as a single unified global firm, Oxbow Partners is ideally positioned to help US clients pursue European opportunities and European clients navigate the US market.

The New York office welcomes two senior leaders. Manmeet Singh Bawa joins as Partner to lead US operations, bringing over ten years of international consulting experience, particularly in modernising property and casualty insurers’ operating models and driving both organic and strategic growth. Mark Purowitz joins as Senior Advisor, offering decades of experience in US and global financial services, with expertise in strategic growth and mergers and acquisitions.

The US team will focus on areas that have defined Oxbow’s reputation: guiding insurance leaders through complex strategic transformation, delivering swift and impactful changes to operating models and technology, and assisting investors with commercial due diligence, post-acquisition planning, and integration strategies.

“With our new team, we are launching a distinctive US platform that helps clients unlock growth, modernise operating models, and deliver results,” added Chris Sandilands, Partner.

Singh Bawa commented: “The US insurance market is at an inflection point. Carriers, reinsurers, and MGAs will benefit from a specialist partner who can combine global insight with local expertise to deliver meaningful strategic transformation.”

Purowitz added: “The team has built a remarkable strategy boutique exclusively focused on specialty insurance. Now it’s time to bring that same value to US insurers.”
