Life reinsurer Pacific Life Re has announced the appointment of Febby Mulewa as Head of Underwriting and Claims, Protection, Europe, where she will oversee initiatives aimed at driving sustainable growth and operational excellence across the Protection line of business.
Mulewa will collaborate closely with the Pacific Life Re global underwriting and claims teams to align and enhance regional performance.
She joins the reinsurer with over two decades of experience across direct insurance and reinsurance in the UK and Africa.
During her career, Mulewa has led underwriting and claims strategies to optimise portfolio performance and strengthen risk management. She is also an advocate for increasing the accessibility of life insurance while maintaining sound risk selection.
Most recently, she served as Head Underwriting & Claims Portfolio at Swiss Re. Her extensive tenure with the firm also included roles as Head of Underwriting L&H, UKI, and Head of Underwriting L&H , Swiss Re Africa.
