Lockton, an independent insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Patrick Häusler as Head of Business Development for Lockton Switzerland.
In his new role, Häusler will be based in Zurich and work closely with colleagues in Switzerland, the wider region, London, and the US to drive growth and bring Lockton’s global capabilities to the Swiss market.
He brings more than three decades of insurance industry experience, with expertise spanning underwriting and strategic distribution leadership.
Häusler joins Lockton from Liberty Specialty Markets, where he served as Head of Distribution Switzerland. Before that, he was Key Account Manager Associations at Suva. He also spent more than 15 years on Generali’s sales leadership team.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at Helvetia Insurance Switzerland, Vaudoise Assurances, and Zurich Insurance.

In November 2025, Lockton strengthened its presence in Switzerland with the establishment of new offices in Zurich and Geneva, with Stephan Bachmann appointed CEO of Lockton Switzerland GmbH. The move reflected a deliberate investment to be closer to clients and deliver specialist services for large companies with complex, cross-border, and domestic risks.
