Operational momentum was reinforced by the company’s “insurance + technology + service” model, which handled an average of over three million customer interactions per day.

In H1 2026 Ping An P&C constantly strengthened its auto insurance service brand and launched two service initiatives, namely exemption from onsite waiting, proof submission and loss assessment as well as good, quick and cost-effective services.

Digital engagement reached new heights as the Ping An Auto Owner app logged over 120 million active users in the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, sustaining a customer satisfaction rate above 97%.

The insurer also deepened its focus on proactive risk management to curb loss severity. By issuing 177,000 natural disaster early-warning alerts to roughly 120 million customers, Ping An P&C mitigated an estimated RMB 212 million in potential losses during the six-month period.

In H1 2026, Ping An’s life and health insurance (L&H) business sustained its high-quality trajectory, posting an 11.2% YoY increase in new business value (NBV), to RMB24,847 million in the H1 2026.

For its Group H1 2026 financial results, Ping An saw total revenues rise 12.6%YoY to RMB615,351 million (around $85.47 billion), while operating profit increased 8.3% YoY to RMB84,196 million (around $11.69 billion). Net profit surged 36.1% YoY, reaching RMB92,585 million (around $12.86 billion).

The Group also delivered robust insurance funds investment results, with insurance funds investment assets expanding 1.9% year to date to RMB6.61 trillion as of June 30, 2026.

Into the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), Ping An noted it continued to focus on its core financial businesses, and advanced its tech-enabled “integrated finance + health and senior care” dual-pronged strategy.

The Group improved customer experience by launching Express Service, which could “get things done driven by one prompt” and conducted AI-enabled inquiry, consultation, and processing in 88% of Ping An’s business scenarios.

Additionally, Ping An also upgraded Global Emergency Assistance- which handled over 1,500 emergency requests in the first half of 2026 – to enable “one action-triggered emergency response.”

Looking ahead, as China’s economic potential is to be consistently unleashed in H2 2026, Ping An aims to adhere to its original aspiration of finance for the people under its business policy of “higher-value growth, service innovation, tech-driven development, and regulatory compliance.”

A Group spokesperson concluded: “Ping An will consistently advance its tech-enabled “integrated finance + health and senior care” dual-pronged strategy. Proactively bolstering five key sectors (namely technology finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance), Ping An continues to enhance operations, strengthening growth momentum, and upgrading high-quality, innovative services.

“The Group aims for higher-value growth, and creates value through service, making greater contributions to Chinese modernization and accelerating the building of China into a financial powerhouse.”
