Previsico, a provider of surface water flood forecasting, has entered into a partnership with Esri UK, a notable company across geographic information system software, location intelligence, and mapping, which will see Previsico bring its flood forecasting solution to Esri UK’s clients to help mitigate future flood impacts and losses.
Under the partnership, Previsico’s solutions will be offered to Esri UK’s portfolio of customers via an API, which covers organisations across the Utility, Transport and AEC sectors, as well as Housing, Local Authorities and Central Government Bodies, as well as commercial markets, including Retail, Real Estate, and Not-For-Profits.
Esri UK’s clients will benefit from Previsico’s forecasting and monitoring solutions, which includes geospatial and internet of things (IoT) data. The solutions play a crucial role towards enabling businesses worldwide to prepare, act, and prevent flood impacts and manage their assets accordingly.
Previsico’s technology is already used by renowned insurers such as Liberty, Zurich, and Generali, as well as the public sector, including National Grid and National Rail, major corporates, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The partnership will also enable Esri UK to drive new opportunities for both existing customers and new prospects, which will ultimately help businesses, organisations, and communities effectively address significant challenges around surface water flood risk mitigation.
From what we understand, in the future, the partnership may even have the potential to be expanded to support Esri’s entire global client base of 650,000 organisations worldwide.

In related news, Previsico recently introduced Instacasting, a next-generation flood mitigation solution that uses the most accurate observed rainfall data available (rather than predicted data) to assess surface water flood risks, enabling clients to respond more quickly and with greater confidence.
