Price Forbes, a specialist insurance broking firm, has announced changes to its marine division’s leadership team.
Paul Kearns will move into the role of Chairman of Marine, while Anthony Burnell-Nugent will take over as Chief Executive Officer of the division.
Kearns has been with the business for more than 20 years, during which he has contributed to the expansion of its marine operations and the wider company. He has held a key position within the leadership team through a period of business development and organisational change, helping to strengthen the firm’s position in the specialty insurance broking market.
As Chairman of Marine, Kearns will continue to provide guidance and support to the division’s leadership team, with a focus on its future strategy and long-term growth.
Burnell-Nugent joined Price Forbes in September 2026, having previously worked at Miller Insurance Services for more than 13 years. He became Head of Hull at Miller in 2018 and has also held senior positions at Gallagher. His background in the insurance market is expected to support his work with the marine division as it responds to industry challenges and identifies opportunities for further development.
Price Forbes said the appointments reflect its planned approach to leadership succession and are intended to maintain stability as the business progresses. Kearns and Burnell-Nugent will work together to maintain relationships with clients, colleagues and trading partners while supporting the division’s activities across the global marine insurance market.
Burnell-Nugent commented: “I’m delighted to take on the role of CEO of Marine at Price Forbes. The division has a strong platform, an excellent team, and an established reputation in the market. I look forward to working with Paul and colleagues across the business to build on that success, strengthen our relationships with clients and trading partners, and continue developing our offering in a changing marine market.”
John Thompson, CEO of Price Forbes Broking, added: “Paul has made an exceptional contribution to Price Forbes over more than two decades, playing a pivotal role in building our Marine division into the market-leading business it is today. I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his expertise, experience and counsel as Chairman of Marine. I am equally pleased to welcome Anthony as our new CEO of Marine.
“He is an outstanding market professional and well placed to lead the next chapter of growth for the division. I look forward to working with him as he continues to strengthen our offering for clients and trading partners around the world.”
