Lloyd’s syndicate AEGIS London has announced the promotion of Tom Prifti to Class Underwriter for International E&O (Errors & Omissions).

Prifti will be succeeding Martin King, who retired at the end of 2025 after a ten-year tenure at AEGIS London and a long-distinguished career that began in 1982 at C.T. Bowring.

In his new role, Prifti will lead the E&O team’s strategic growth, managing a diverse portfolio and delivering exceptional client service.

The team is highly regarded for its technical expertise across a wide range of sectors, including architects, accountants, engineers, lawyers, IT professionals, insurance professionals and affinity groups.

Prifti has been part of AEGIS London since joining the company in 2014 as claims adjuster before moving into the E&O Underwriting team in 2016.

Over the past decade, the executive has established a strong reputation across the market and deep expertise in both face-to-face underwriting at Lloyd’s as well as digital trading via AEGIS London’s online quote-to-bind platform (OPAL) for Canadian E&O risks.

Commenting on Prifti’s promotion, David Bagheri, Head of Casualty at AEGIS London, said: “AEGIS London has always been committed to developing exceptional talent from within, and Tom’s promotion is a strong example of that.

“Tom has been an important member of the Casualty team for many years and his expertise, professionalism and deep understanding of our clients’ needs will help us continue to strengthen the Casualty book. We look forward to seeing him take on this new challenge.”

Bagheri added: “I would also like to extend my thanks to Martin for his outstanding service to the industry and his commitment to helping build AEGIS London’s Casualty team into a best-in-class offering.”

Prifti commented: “I am excited to be taking over the reins from Martin, who has been an invaluable source of advice and inspiration. Having been part of AEGIS London for more than a decade, I’m proud of the relationships built and the business we’ve delivered.

“I look forward to continuing to support my existing clients while developing new opportunities across our line of business. It’s a privilege to step into this role and continue the great work the team consistently delivers to our clients.”
