QBE has announced the appointment of Troy Wiebe as Casualty Underwriter and Jasper Hageman as Property Underwriter, as well as the promotion of Fiona Bui to Underwriting Support Team Lead.
According to QBE with these new hires it expands its Vancouver office, which opened in 2015, to grow its Western Canada offering.
Wiebe has over 20 years’ experience in property and casualty underwriting having most recently held the role of Underwriting Director at Northbridge. In the newly created role, he will be reporting to Adam Dobko, Underwriting Manager, Casualty.
Hageman joins from Northbridge where he specialised in property underwriting, with expertise in public sector, construction, retail, manufacturing and wood products. He brings over 25 years’ experience to the new role and will report to Lisa Wolfe, Underwriting Manager for Property.
Bui joined QBE in 2016 and has been promoted to her new position from her role as Underwriting Assistant. In her new role, she will report to Dawn Cooper, Compliance & Risk Management Specialist.
