QBE Re, the reinsurance arm of QBE Insurance Group, has announced the promotion of Amanda Lupkin to the position of Vice President (VP) and Head of the North America Health Practice.
The promotion marks Lupkin’s continued ascent within the organisation, having joined QBE in 2021 with an impressive track record of over 15 years in the reinsurance industry.
Tim Barber, QBE Re North America General Manager, expressed confidence in Lupkin’s capabilities, citing her significant contributions to the development of the Health franchise in North America.
Barber stated, “Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. She has played a pivotal part in the development of our Health franchise in North America, and we look forward to further progress in 2024. Her appointment is another great example of the internal talent we have within QBE Re.”
This announcement comes as the fifth senior appointment made by QBE Re in 2024, underscoring the company’s dedication to nurturing and recognising internal talent.
