QBE, an international insurance provider, has welcomed Lucy Smith and Hannah Dennis ahead of the rollout of its new Media Professional Indemnity (PI) product for its European Operations division.
Smith joins as Senior Media PI Underwriter, and Dennis takes on the role of Media PI Underwriter. Both will be based in London, reporting to Chris Pavlou, Professional Indemnity Portfolio Manager – International Markets, QBE Europe.
Smith brings over a decade of experience in media underwriting, most recently serving as Senior Media, Film and TV Underwriter at Tokio Marine HCC. Dennis, also arriving from Tokio Marine HCC, has spent 10 years in the insurance industry, focusing on media, film, and TV underwriting for the last three years, previously holding the position of Media, Film and TV Underwriter.
In their new roles, they aim to mirror the success of QBE’s North American Media PI product, launched over ten years ago, which provides professional indemnity coverage for video and film production, radio and television broadcasting, publishing, and other media sectors.
Pavlou added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Lucy and Hannah to QBE as we expand our PI offering into the media sector. The hire of two trusted media insurance specialists underpins QBE’s commitment to growth in this area as we look to further diversify our PI portfolio.”
