Bermuda-based reinsurer RenaissanceRe (RenRe) has announced numerous promotions within its European leadership team, with new roles for Sven Wehmeyer, Jodie Arkell, Hugh Brennan, and Ed Cruttenden.
Wehmeyer previously held the position of Head of Portfolio Integration, International at RenRe, and has been promoted to CUO, Europe & Latin America.
Arkell, who previously served as Global Head of Specialty, has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), UK & Ireland, and Active Underwriter of Syndicate 1458, which offers property, casualty, and specialty lines through Lloyd’s, pending regulatory approval.
Brennan takes on the new role as Global Head of Underwriting and Portfolio Operations, having previously served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RenaissanceRe Syndicate Management Ltd.
Pending regulatory approval, Cruttenden is taking over from Brennan as CEO of RenRe Syndicate Management, leaving his role as Active Underwriter & Global Head of Casualty Insurance at the firm.
