Global reinsurer Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Suzanne Revell as Head of Marine & Energy for P&C Re, succeeding Adam Watkins, effective 1 June 2026.
In her new position, based in London, Revell will be responsible for Swiss Re’s global Marine & Energy portfolio, including its strategic direction, underwriting priorities and market representation and lead the underwriting team across all regions.
The executive joined Swiss Re in 2017 and currently serves as Head of Marine & Energy UK and leads the Political Violence & Terror portfolio.
Revell’s extensive background includes leading a significant London Market Composite Excess of Loss book, as well as experience as an underwriter at a Lloyd’s syndicate and as a placement broker.
This broad profile has given her experience across these lines and a strong understanding of the market and broader risk landscape.
Adam Watkins, who has been with Swiss Re for close to two decades, will remain in an advisory role to the company.
