Richard Pike, currently of Berkley Re, is set to join reinsurance broker Howden Re in April as Executive Director, Treaty Reinsurance, based in Sydney.
In his new role, which he takes on following his contractual obligations, Pike will report to Stephen Warwick, Head of Treaty for Asia Pacific.
At Howden Re, Pike will be responsible for serving clients and markets across Asia Pacific as part of the firm’s growing treaty reinsurance team.
He joins after a decade with Berkley Re where he was responsible for regional ceded reinsurance. Earlier in his career, Pike spent two decades as a reinsurance broker, latterly with Aon Benfield in London.
Prior to Aon, Pike worked at Gallagher Re as a Partner for two years.
