RiverStone International, a provider of legacy solutions, has announced the appointment of Nicola Gaisford as Head of M&A – UK & Europe.
Gaisford has been with RiverStone since July 2023, joining as Associate Director of M&A Strategy and Business Development.
Before that, she spent six years at Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Legacy M&A.
From 2018 to 2023, Gaisford also served as a committee member of the Young Professionals Group for the Insurance & Reinsurance Legacy Association (IRLA).
Earlier in her career, Gaisford held various senior finance roles, including Senior Financial Analyst at AM Best and Financial Analyst, Market Security at Willis.
This announcement follows RiverStone’s recent completion of a loss portfolio transfer reinsurance (LPT) with QBE. The LPT, effective July 1, 2024, involves RiverStone subsidiaries assuming subject reserves of $1.2 billion as of that date.
