RLI Corp., the specialty insurer, has promoted Kerrick Porter to the role of Vice President, RLI Executive Products Group, effective May 17, 2024.
Porter will take over the role from Chad Berberich, who will be retiring on May 17 2024 after 21 years of service to RLI.
According to the firm, in his new role, Porter will assume executive leadership and oversight responsibility of the group, which offers comprehensive professional liability coverages for the executive suite.
Porter has been with the company for over 15 years, having joined the firm in 2007 as Senior Underwriter.
In 2012 he was promoted to Assistant Vice President – Central Zone, Executive Products Group.
Overall, he brings more than two decades of industry expertise towards his new role, and holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations.
RLI Corp. Chief Operating Officer Jen Klobnak, commented on the promotion: “Kerrick brings a wealth of technical underwriting, product and industry expertise to his new role. I am confident that Kerrick will position the Executive Products Group for ongoing success and ensure we continue to deliver superior insurance solutions and service to customers in this market.”
In their full-year results for 2023, RLI Corp. reported an underwriting income of $173.2 million on a combined ratio of 86.6%, compared to $178.2 million on a combined ratio of 84.4% in 2022.
