RLI promotes Bryant to replace retiring Brown

The Senior Vice President (SVP) & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of RLI Corp., Thomas L. Brown, is leaving the company on July 1st, 2019 after eight years with the firm.

RLI Corporation logoHe joined in 2011 as Vice President (VP) and CFO, and subsequently led the company’s financial strategy, planning, and management operations. He was promoted to his current position in 2017.

RLI Corp. Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jonathan E. Michael, said: “Tom’s deep expertise and strong financial stewardship has contributed significantly to the success of our company. On behalf of our board of directors and the company, I would like to thank Tom for his leadership and contributions.”

In light of Brown’s departure, Todd W. Bryant, VP, Finance & Controller, has been promoted to CFO, replacing Brown when he retires later in the year. Bryant has been with the firm since 1993, and was VP, Finance & Controller, in 2009.

Furthermore, effective July 1st, Seth A. Davis, VP, Corporate Services, will assume the role of VP, Controller. And Kathleen A. Taylor, Assistant Vice President (AVP), Reinsurance Accounting and Cash Operations has been promoted to VP, Accounting Operations.
