RMA, Inc., a member company of Starwind Specialty, a large programme management operations firm in North America, has appointed Rob MacKenzie as President, effective July 6th, 2026.
In the new role, MacKenzie succeeds Claire Myles, who transitions into an advisory role to support a seamless leadership transition, following a distinguished career spanning three decades.
Under MacKenzie’s leadership, RMA will continue to focus on sustainable growth, innovation, and pursuing opportunities in emerging and underserved markets.
Additionally, he will lead RMA’s diversified operations and support the organisation’s long-term strategic objectives.
Most recently, MacKenzie served at a global reinsurer as Head of Life & Health Canada and Chief Agent for the company’s Canadian Branch. In this role, he held overall responsibility for the Canadian reinsurance business, including strategic, operational, financial, and market leadership.
He has over two decades of international experience across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia in direct insurance, reinsurance, and consulting.
In the past, MacKenzie has led product development, pricing, valuation, and business development initiatives across individual, group insurance, and pension markets.
Brian Norman, Co-President, Starwind Specialty, commented, “Rob brings broad and extensive industry experience along with strong market insights, a forward-looking approach, and a proven leadership track record.
“He will guide RMA’s continued evolution and advance its next phase of growth while working closely with the existing leadership team. We are very pleased to welcome Rob to the organisation.”
MacKenzie said, “I am honoured to join RMA and build on the remarkable foundation established over the past 30 years. RMA’s talented team and client-first approach have earned the organisation a trusted reputation in the market.
“I look forward to working together to strengthen that legacy by delivering tailored solutions, deepening client relationships, and pursuing new opportunities for sustainable growth.”
Myles added, “After 30 years of building and growing RMA from a two-person operation into the diversified and respected organisation it is today, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together.
“RMA’s success has always been guided by its values-based culture and driven by the professionalism, dedication, and insight of our team. I am confident the organisation is well positioned for continued success under Rob’s leadership.”
