Robus has promoted Jamie Polson to be the managing director of its Guernsey office.
The promotion will see Polson’s job title and duties upgraded from director and general manager.
Steve Quinn, executive chairman of Robus Group, said in a statement: “I am delighted to formally announce Jamie’s appointment and it is of course recognition of the diligence and loyalty applied in his previous role as director over the last few years.”
He added: “The Robus Guernsey team has gone from strength to strength under Jamie’s leadership and the future will very much be more of the same. Guernsey is a key part of the Robus Group and will form an increasingly important part of the Ardonagh Group in meeting client needs.”
According to Robus, Polson began his career in private banking with Coutts, and moved into the insurance industry in 2001. He has been a Board member with Robus since joining the company in 2014 and provides a wealth of risk management expertise along with a strong background in accounting, corporate governance, company secretarial, compliance, and regulatory.
Polson said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to managing director of Robus Guernsey. The Robus Guernsey team is made up of skilled and experienced professionals who provide flexibility, innovation and excellent service to a large range of insurance clients. I am proud to lead this team and excited for the opportunity.”
He added: “Robus has achieved excellent growth in new business over the last two years and my goal is to continue this trend, with a particular focus on captive insurers under management.”
