Re/insurance broker Aon has announced that Roelant de Haas will become the new CEO of Reinsurance Solutions for its business in the Netherlands.
As CEO of Reinsurance Solutions for Aon Nederland, de Haas will be responsible for all reinsurance activities within the country.
The appointment is effective from September 1 and will also see de Haas become a member of the Management Committee of Aon Nederland.
De Haas has been employed by Aon from 2019, and has previously held management and board positions at Guy Carpenter, Perils AG and Achmea Reinsurance Company, among others.
His career began in the early 1990s at Bloemers & Co Herverzekering BV, which was later taken over by Aon Re.
Marc van Nuland, Country Manager at Aon Nederland, commented on the appointment: “He has more than earned his spurs in the reinsurance market and brokerage.”
“We have found someone in him who can further grow Aon with his acquired knowledge,” van Nuland added. “I am happy that he is back at his ‘old nest’, after previously working for Bloemers.”
