Rokstone, the international specialty re/insurance managing general agent (MGA), has announced the appointment of Jackie Lan as Underwriter in its Singapore marine team.
Rokstone established its Singapore marine MGA in June 2025 with a multi-year $25 million Lloyd’s capacity deal. The team focuses on four marine lines: Construction, Cargo, Hull and Liability, with an ambition to achieve $50 million in GWP within five years.
The Singapore hub was established as part of Rokstone’s regional growth strategy, with Rama Chandran, Managing Director and Head of Marine APAC, overseeing the development of its Asia Pacific operations.
Lan brings 15 years of experience in the marine industry, including more than a decade specialising in Marine Hull and Liability insurance. Based in Singapore, she has worked across regional and international markets, combining strong local insight with a global perspective.
She will join Rokstone following the completion of her notice period at QBE Asia, where she currently serves as Senior Hull Underwriter.
Lan is also actively engaged in industry initiatives, contributing insurance expertise to sustainability-focused maritime projects and cross-industry collaborations addressing emerging risks such as digitalisation and cyber exposures.
This is the latest key underwriting hire within Rokstone’s Singapore marine team, following the appointments of Sharon Seah and Hui Ling Long in October 2025.
Chandran commented, “Jackie’s a fantastic addition to the team as we rapidly scale up our portfolio of marine solutions. Our highly experienced team combines rigorous underwriting discipline and a deep understanding of client needs, with the augmentation power of our ATOMX technology and data ecosystem to drive profitable growth and portfolio optimisation. Jackie’s appointment highlights the strength of this critical regional hub, at a time when the marine industry faces unprecedented geo-political uncertainty.”
