Rokstone, an international specialty re/insurance managing general agent (MGA), has announced the appointment of Claire Lill as Senior Underwriter, North American Casualty.
In her new role, Lill will collaborate closely with Rokstone’s North American Casualty leadership to further develop its underwriting expertise and sustain the expansion of the MGA’s Casualty portfolio.
Lill brings more than three decades of underwriting experience across the London and international Casualty markets, and will join Rokstone following her notice period at QBE, where she most recently served as Portfolio Manager, US Casualty, QBE Europe.
Prior to QBE, the executive held senior underwriting and leadership roles at Apollo Syndicate 1969, Argo Group International Holdings, Liberty International Underwriters and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.
James Potter, Chairman of Rokstone, commented: “Claire is a highly respected underwriter with a deep understanding of the US Casualty market and an exceptional track record across the London market. Her experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to scale our North American Casualty platform.”
Larry Burrows, Head of North American Casualty at Rokstone, added: “We are hugely excited to welcome Claire to the team. With decades of underwriting experience, Claire has one of the strongest reputations in the market, and brings a great deal of discipline, technical expertise, and strong broker relationships to the wider team, speaking exactly to the culture and approach we are seeking to build within the North American Casualty team here at Rokstone.
“She is a natural leader within the class and her appointment significantly strengthens our ability to grow the portfolio and deliver creative solutions for our broker partners.”
