Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, the underwriting management division of Ryan Specialty, has announced the promotion of three senior leaders within its Ryan Financial Lines business.
Ryan Financial Lines (RFL) provides an all-in-one platform offering a wide range of financial lines insurance products for both clients and capital partners. These leadership updates follow the company’s executive appointments announced earlier this year.
Deborah Egel-Fergus has been named President of Lawyers E&O. She most recently served as Vice President of LawyerGuard, now part of RFL. Egel-Fergus brings over 25 years of experience in professional liability insurance and succeeds Kevin Sullivan, who retired at the end of 2025 after many years of service, during which she collaborated closely with him.
Brooke Tanner has been promoted to Chief Claims Officer for RFL (North America), Global Cyber, and Celerity Risk. Tanner joined the company in 2022, when it operated as EmergIn Risk. Before joining Ryan Specialty, she practiced insurance law in New York City, focusing on general liability, coverage issues, and data privacy and breach response. She has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2009.
Amelia Gould has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, International. She previously oversaw operations at Themis Underwriting, which became part of Ryan Specialty through the Innovisk transaction. Gould spent six years with Themis before joining RFL in October 2025 and began her career at a global specialty carrier as an Underwriting Assistant and Operations Analyst.
