International specialty insurance firm, Ryan Specialty, has expanded its renewable energy insurance offering on a global basis with PERse International, a managing general underwriter (MGU) based in London.
The MGU has a particular focus on both onshore and offshore renewable insurance and is a part of the firm’s underwriting specialty – Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM).
PERse International is led by Stuart Burchell, as well as Adam Hearn and Josh Cantwell, who will both be heading up the Onshore and Offshore divisions, respectively.
Ryan Specialty confirmed that the team has delegated underwriting authority of up to $100 million, and are focused on supporting the continued, global growth of renewable energy.

In December, Ryan Specialty signed a definitive agreement to acquire Castel Underwriting Agencies Limited, an MGU platform, from Arch Financial Holdings (UK) Limited and minority shareholders.
