Ryan Specialty has announced the appointment of Kathy Guerville as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for its underwriting management specialty, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, effective immediately.
With a solid background spanning 15 years in insurance actuarial experience, Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
Her journey at Ryan Specialty began seven years ago, and over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise in a range of positions.
Starting as a Senior Actuary, she steadily advanced through the ranks, serving as an Actuarial Director, and most recently, as Deputy CUO.
Before joining Ryan Specialty, Kathy held positions at Zurich Insurance Company in both the United States and internationally in Zurich and London, adding a global perspective to her expertise.
Miles Wuller, CEO & President of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, expressed his enthusiasm for Kathy’s promotion, stating, “Kathy has been an exceptional partner, and I am excited for her to join the underwriting unit directly to be at the front line of our rapidly evolving business.”
In her new capacity, Kathy will be responsible for overseeing all technical pricing and catastrophe modeling resources. Additionally, she will provide oversight for underwriting standards and performance commitments, playing a crucial role in the company’s ongoing growth and development.
