Ryan Transactional Risk announces several leadership promotions

Ryan Specialty’s transactional risk managing general underwriter, Ryan Transactional Risk (RTR), has announced several leadership promotions, effective January 1, 2025.

George Pearce and Rich Stansfield, the current Managing Directors, will assume the roles of Global Co-Chief Executive Officers.

Luc Joordens has been appointed Managing Director International. He joined RTR in 2019, serving as Co-head of the European platform, offering M&A insurance solutions to clients, brokers, and advisors across Continental Europe.

Rustin Paul has been named Managing Director, North America. Paul joined RTR in 2018 as Executive Vice President of Underwriting and currently serves as Chief Underwriting Officer for Representations & Warranty Insurance (RWI).

Mike Marston has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer, Warranty & Indemnity. Marston joined RTR in 2020 as Head of Operational W&I Insurance for the London Market. In his new role, he will continue to drive RTR’s international underwriting strategy and ensure consistent delivery of the underwriting approach across EMEA and the Asia-Pacific region.

Rob Lustgarten has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer, Representations & Warranty Insurance. Lustgarten, who joined RTR in 2017, has held several senior roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President. In his new role, he will oversee the implementation and management of RTR’s underwriting strategy, ensuring consistency across the portfolio of risks insured under RWI policies.

Marta Batalla has been named Head of Continental Europe. Batalla currently serves as Co-head of the European team at RTR, overseeing underwriting, business development, and expansion across all Continental European markets.

James Longman has been appointed Global Head of Real Estate. Longman, who has served as Senior Underwriter and Head of Real Estate for the past six years, will continue to expand RTR’s real estate offering across the UK, Europe, and other regions.
