Rychling joins AXA XL as Head of Broker Relations, Large Commercial & Mid-Market, Americas

AXA XL, the property and casualty division of global insurer AXA Group, has appointed Liz Rychling as Head of Broker Relations, Large Commercial and Mid-Market, for its Americas region.

AXA XL logoShe will be based in New York, and report to Matt O’Malley, Chief Client and Distribution Officer for AXA XL in the Americas.

In her new role, Rychling will design and implement distribution programmes, liaise with broker partners, analyse performance data, and collaborate with internal teams to improve productivity and service quality.

She has over 25 years of risk management, insurance, legal, and strategic leadership experience. Rychling started her career in law, specialising in insurance defense.

Most recently, Rychling served as Senior Vice President of Risk Management at MGM Resorts International, overseeing global insurance programmes, legal and claims teams. She led the property, casualty, and financial lines teams across multiple properties globally. In the past, she has held leadership roles at AIG, El Ad Group, and Las Vegas Sands Corp.

O’Malley commented on the appointment, “Liz brings a unique perspective with hands-on experience across various areas of the insurance industry, including as a client. Her diverse background and forward-thinking approach make her well-suited for this role.
