Specialty re/insurance provider Safety National Casualty Corporation has announced changes to the company’s executive and senior management structure, including Nick Kriegel appointment as Executive Vice President, Chief Innovation Officer, General Counsel, and Secretary.
In his new role, Kriegel who previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations, General Counsel, and Secretary, will lead organisational innovation and provide executive management oversight to the Account Services, Business Optimization Transformation, Information Technology, Insurance Compliance, Legal, and Loss Portfolio Transfer Departments.
The changes also include Curt Reno’s appointment, formerly Senior Vice President of Underwriting, as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer – Insurance Underwriting.
In his new role, he will be providing senior leadership to all insurance underwriting units within the Insurance Underwriting Department.
Former Senior Vice President of Business Development, Rob Leitner has become Executive Vice President of Business Development, and will be leading the Business Development and Risk Services Departments.
Angela Schaefer, formerly Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, became Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, and will lead the Human Resources Department.
Katie Flynn, formerly Vice President and Controller, became Corporate Senior Vice President, will be heading the Finance and Accounting Department as Chief Accounting Officer, and Assistant Treasurer.
For Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Claims Patrick Hiles was appointed Corporate Senior Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Claims.
In his new role, he will be providing senior leadership to all workers’ compensation claims units within the Claims Department.
Finally, Todd McMillan, formerly Vice President of Liability Claims, has been appointed Corporate Senior Vice President of Liability Claims.
He will be leading all liability claims units within Safety National’s Claims Department.
