SageSure, the specialist catastrophe-exposed property managing general underwriter (MGU), has announced the appointment of Dave PaiMazumder as Director of Catastrophe Risk R&D.
In his new role, PaiMazumder will lead SageSure’s catastrophe risk research agenda, advancing model evaluation, shaping proprietary views of risk, and integrating climate and emerging scientific insights into how the company understands and manages exposure.
He brings more than 15 years of experience in catastrophe modelling and risk analytics.
PaiMazumder joins SageSure from Citi, where he served as SVP, Risk Manager, Climate Risk Modeling Lead, focusing on climate risk stress testing and catastrophe risk applications in the banking sector.
Prior to that, he spent six years at AIG, where he held roles including Catastrophe R&D Specialist and most recently Manager Catastrophe Modelling R&D.
