Allianz Re, the reinsurance arm of global insurer Allianz, has announced that Sang Hun Park is set to return to the firm as its Global Head of Retrocession, effective May 1st, 2023.
Park already has in-depth experience at Allianz Re having spent a little more than nine years with the company starting in August 2012 as a non-life treaty underwriter.
He later became non-life treaty senior underwriter and then P&C specialty senior underwriter in 2016, before assuming the role of senior retrocession manager in March of 2018.
After more than three years in this role, Park left Allianz Re for Munich Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies, as senior manager origination within Munich Re Capital Partners.
After roughly one year and eight months with Munich Re, Park is set to return to Allianz Re to lead its global retrocession business.
Earlier in his career, Park spent more than five years with Korean Re as an underwriter, covering marine hull and Japanese markets.
