SCOR unveils simpler & more effective business structure

French reinsurer SCOR has announced new structures within its Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) segments as the firm looks to become “a simpler and more effective organization”, enabling more immediate client access and decision-making.

scor-logoSCOR has decided to simplify the structures within P&C and L&H, which for P&C reinsurance, means evolving into five Reinsurance Regions, Reinsurance Specialty Lines (previously Reinsurance Global Lines), and the Global Clients teams, all reporting to Paul Conoscente, CEO of SCOR P&C.

In terms of the five regions, P&C Western Europe & Middle East and Africa will be led by Maria Brohmi, P&C North, Central & Eastern Europe will be headed by Charles Bartlett, and Nicolas Berg will serve as Head of P&C North America. Additionally, Fabio Pinho has been named Head of P&C Latin America, and Mukul Kishore as Head of P&C Asia Pacific.

SCOR explains that Eric Jenck remains Head of Reinsurance Specialty Lines, while Guillaume Ominetti is now Head of Global Clients, and Daniel Duesterhaus has been appointed Head of P&C Underwriting Solutions.

For L&H, the changes will be reflected in five key regions. Redmond Murphy will lead L&H UK & Ireland, Canada and South Africa, in addition to his role as Deputy CEO L&H. Pilar Santamaria Cases will serve as Head of L&H Continental Europe & Latin America, J.C. Brueckner as Head of L&H US, Chloe Wang as Head of L&H Fast Growth Markets APAC, and Dion Russell as Head of L&H Mature Markets APAC.

Further, in order to reflect the strong focus of SCOR’s Forward 2026 strategic plan on the L&H Global product lines, Bruno Latourrette is appointed Head of Financial Solutions, and Matthew Collins is appointed Head of Global Longevity.

All of these changes take effect on April 1st, 2024.
