The Board of the International Underwriting Association (IUA) has announced the addition of Chris Beazley, Chief Commercial Officer at SCOR Business Solutions and Chief Executive Officer of SCOR UK and SCOR Syndicate, to its ranks.
The IUA Board is responsible for governing and overseeing the association’s work to secure an optimal trading environment for London insurance companies. It comprises up to 20 member representatives who are all in senior executive positions.
Beazley was appointed to the IUA Board at its February meeting. He brings 25 years of industry experience, having held various senior leadership roles at underwriting and broking firms in the UK, Switzerland, Singapore, and the US.
Prior to SCOR, Beazley served as Chief Executive Officer at MS Amlin AG and also undertook a two-year secondment as CEO of the London Market Group.

This follows the IUA’s announcement in November 2025 that Theo Butt, Chief Executive Officer, UK at Convex Insurance, was elected as the Board’s new Chair, effective January 1st 2026.
