Sean Ramlal has been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of Casualty and Professional Treaty at Ascot Re, based in Bermuda.
Ramlal has been with Ascot Group’s reinsurance division, Ascot Re since 2019, initially serving as Vice President, Treaty Underwriter in Bermuda.
In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of managing and training a team of underwriters and pricing actuaries, as well as cycle management, new business production, budgeting & forecasting, and building tools for pricing, portfolio monitoring, and metrics.
Earlier in his career, Ramlal worked at ABR Reinsurance Capital Holdings as Underwriting Director.
Prior to this, he worked at QBE Reinsurance for more than four years as Vice President, Treaty Underwriter, Casualty and Professional Portfolio Manager.
Ramlal joined QBE Re after five years with Allied World Reinsurance Company, where he served as Assistant Vice President, Pricing Actuary.
He has also worked at CNA Insurance as an Actuarial Analyst.
