Sedgwick, a global provider of technology-enabled risk, claims and business solutions, has appointed Jason Rogers as Managing Director, Carrier & Captive Solutions, as part of a newly established leadership role within the company.
In the position, Rogers will oversee Sedgwick’s activities supporting captive insurers, insurance carriers, Managing General Agents (MGAs) and Managing General Underwriters (MGUs). He will also be responsible for helping to advance and implement its dedicated growth platform for these markets.
Rogers brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance sector, with a background spanning underwriting, brokerage and programme administration. Before joining Sedgwick, he spent more than 10 years in senior management positions, where he had responsibility for profit and loss, led teams and supported the development of future industry leaders.
Rogers will work within its Growth Markets division and report to Emily Fink, Global Chief Marketing Officer and President of Growth Markets.
Fink commented: “Jason brings deep expertise and a unique combination of knowledge that will have an immediate impact for Sedgwick. This area has been, and continues to be, an important area of growth for our organisation. His appointment reinforces our commitment to the market, strengthens our ability to deliver tailored solutions, and positions us for continued long-term growth.”
“This role and practice group reflect significant opportunities ahead for Sedgwick,” added Rogers. “Our continued investments in our colleagues, technology, artificial intelligence and advanced claims solutions create meaningful differentiation in the marketplace. I look forward to working with our existing clients and building relationships with prospective customers to share the Sedgwick story. Our vision is simple: to be the partner of choice and deliver exceptional claims outcomes.”
Rogers holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Villanova University. His appointment adds dedicated senior leadership to Sedgwick’s work with carriers, captives, MGAs and MGUs.
